John, how much per minute for over the 100 minute limit free calling? How much was the phone? Any contract period with money to pay if cancelled?

John, Shopper Mike wants more details on your new toy. Is the QCP-1920 single mode so it just doesn't kick to some heathen system when you're in Fairbanks Ranch? [nice neighborhood, BTW. Went to a few shindigs in Rancho Santa Fe when I officed in La Jolla--a slum area it is not. God almighty, some of those houses are just giganticon.]
Anyway, I have to buy one of the damn things pretty soon but I want one that keeps me in touch anywhere even if it means that it roams to the dark forces' network. For $17/mo, I might get over it though :)
The rest of the guys on this thread have me buying the mother of all UPS machines which makes the house payment questionable this month, so if I could save a few stones on the phone it would help. best, mike doyle

John - I was surprised to hear that Pacific Bell reached all the way to South Dakota.

Then, I looked at your profile and figured out where you really are.

Jon.

The Fairbanks/Rancho Santa Fe deadspot you cite has been a problem for Sprint since they fired up their system. They claim (this may be old since I haven't checked in about a year) that it is because they have been unable to get permission to erect antennae due to NIMBY restrictions in the "Ranch"
