Fuchi, running 16-bit code on a MHz-for-MHz basis, the K6 is faster than a PII and the MII is a tad slower. Which is saying a lot since the MII is a lot slower in MHz.

Running 32-bit code (NT), the PII is a lot faster than its competitors. Running games, the PII is a hands-down winner unless you can get the K6/3D drivers to work and you own a Voodoo card. But when caching apps, the MII wins (which explains its solid Windows 95/98 benchmarks).

So ... unless all you want to do is reload MS-Word, I can't see buying the MII. It doesn't game, it doesn't run old apps well and it won't run NT well when that becomes popular. We need Cayenne NOW!
