Vitas, Would you bet your life on the 23/17 year cycle? There aren't many single indicators that I would either. All I know is there are ominous signs everywhere that this whole things in troube, such as:
1) The Bank and Brokerage stock indices collapsing in the face of improving bond yields.
2) Companies like AT&T & Ford Motor Unloading there consumer credit divisions.
3) Many companies announcing this will be the last year they sponsor PGA golf tournaments for the forseeable future.
4) Goldman Sachs rushing an I.P.O. out in the coming month.
5) Dog stocks like the semiconductor equip and hard drive makers and R2000 stocks leading this latest rebound.

There are too many others to list, and I'm sure you know as well as I do what many of these other items, both fundamental and technical, are. Not to mention the instability in politics, and the coming election, which, if a change of power in congress is accomplished, would rip the head right off this bull's body in gory fashion.

It doesn't really matter how, why, or when, as long as we play it to the best of our ability. I'm ready.

Regards,

David

P.S. I know the Titanic Indicator fired several days after the Aug. '87 peak, but you'll need to check with Mr. Favors for the others.
