BTW, from reading this thread this week I thought the stock was supposed to tank today on news of massive insider selling in the window which opened yesterday. Anybody have any explanations about why the long-awaited collapse did not occur?

I will admit, I called the short term movement wrong. For all those who believed that I could guess the short term movement, I apologize.

I, and all longs and shorts alike, simply have no idea what AMZN will do over one or two weeks. Take a look at that NSCP curve... there has never been any way to apply a "bandpass filter" on a speculative stock model (10 points extra credit to anyone who knows what I'm talking about).

But do remember this folks... the VCs, hedge funds and market makers are making tons of money on this stock.

I do believe they know what they are doing very well... and the reasoning is quite simple indeed:

Pilliage, then burn.

Doing this in any other order would deprive our poor, poor market makers of their hard earned livings and reasons for being.

We wouldn't want that now, would we?
