FWIW: I hear this company specializes in core licensing. I wish
all would understand that it isn't easy breaking into the embedded
markets. We have excellent technology that bottom line can't be
beat price wise by ANYBODY. Any and all other chips in the 32-bit
arena are at least 2 to 3 times the price and can't run java natively
Let's see what happens when the .35 is ready. If you were building
1M smartphones and could save $10-15 per phone by using a PSC1000
instead of a strongARM which chip would you use assuming there was
no trade-off in performance? Or how about 15M STB's?, or 2M Palm
Pilots? The point is eventually someone will want to use the chip on a large scale, and as soon as one company takes the plunge, I believe many others will. They can't afford not to, it's just too expensive and that's the bottom line.
