I feel even better after reading your response because I though you were going to give me something like: It's not the same thing as betting, or I have better odds here or some such thing. Anyone may disagree with your picks and even your investment philosophy, but at least it is internally consistent. I like that.

Your approach to long options is a good one. In my attempts, I have short-circuited the approach a few times -- either by putting on more than 1/3 at a time or not following up with the second or third thirds -- perhaps it is the current environment, but almost every time that I failed to follow up I would have had fairly large winners, excepting by brief bloody bout with the internets.

I appreciate time that you spend discussing strategy here. It has been helpful.
