Steve,

What was your take on Friday's volume? I seem to recall that you use TradeStation too. I had one indicator issue a buy signal on Thursday, but I didn't see it until Friday. (The buy/sell indicators have been really lousy since the Sun announcement, so don't read too much into it.)

Since we always seem to be the last to hear any news, good or bad, I've resorted to looking at the overall FC market, the other FC players, and the technicals. Fibre Channel announcements across the board have been pretty positive, so maybe this whole sector will get some investor attention. Just think, we got here first. <g>

It would probably take 9-18 months to get a switch finished. The gating factors are ASIC development and s/w. If you already have a MAC done that is modular you can come in on the shorter side of the timeline. Having more of the standards solidified also helps you not have to chase a spec.

Cost of developing the switch aside, roughly how long would it take to develop a comparable switch and associated firmware and software?

Thanks,

Steve
