The survey estimated that 40 million homes will access the Internet by 2001, up from 17 million households with access at the end of 1996. It also found that, while users are very satisfied with Internet content and somewhat satisfied with log-on time, they are very dissatisfied with download time. "The data showed that somewhere between 20 and 30 percent of homes will demand high-speed Internet use by 2001," said Sam Book of the Strategis Group
