rudedog, Yes , it's all about perspective. it was meant to imply corporate upgrades to win98 or NT, it was meant to imply janitors and other non-techs accelerating us of the internet, it was meant to imply Dell's stranglehold dominance on corporate relationships...

What you perhaps meant and wrote are two different things. Your original post sounded like DELL was still kicking ass because they had an order from 800 x 15 units. Also, it sounded like you were dissing Netscape and janitors.

Say WHAAT???? Where did this particular bit of nonsense get into your head? Are you suggesting that Dell has ANY advantage against IBM, HP or CPQ in corporate relationships? Let's look at that one for a minute. CPQ has nearly 20,000 field sales and support people working the fortune 1000, and another 25,000 doing professional services in that same market. CPQ has installed more than 70% of ALL the exchange seats, and more than 80% of those installations with more than 1000 users.

Do you know how many people Dell has IN TOTAL? How many are doing major account management? Dell does a lot of things well but they are still in the very early phases of developing in this space.

But thanks for the post, I needed a little pick-me-up to get my blood moving.

BTW does this post qualify me for the volunteer position you describe? <GG!>

lets try to minimize the theatrics on this thread....no one in this industry has a stranglehold on the business martket or upgrades. I don't even think anyone has 20%
