These processors - like almost all others - have no concept of date.

That is purely a software function - and depends on the system software - BIOS and O/S - as well as application software.

Any problem with Y2K compliance with Cyrix or AMD chips wouldn't be the fault of the chips - assuming Cyrix's chips can last that long !
