"Mabye you had better move on"

Or you will sue, right?

Chips or boards will not solve coding problems as not all calculations based on dates are detectable at systems levels. Whole gov'ts and 1000's of programmers have analyzed the problem and it requires code rewrites. End of story.

FBN like many companies is making exaggerated claims of its product's efficacy. No amount of interception of date calls can cure the basic total word size problem that the date time problem presents. You have to hold the system time in a larger variable. Programs have to be aware of that variable as it is larger than they have typed for their previous date conversions.. This is requires that basic code be made aware of the new integer size.. and all the interfacing variables retyped and recoded and all the databases and spread sheets fixed. You gonna fix the date routines in my copy of excel? Change it so when I enter 2000 in four digits it accepts that as a date and does not change it to 00 so it won't screw up some other program?

I don't think so.
