All I can say I hope you enjoy him as long as you can .. I never had a Father. I could say I don't think I ever had a Mother..She was into herself ,and not to me... Well maybe that gave me the drive to get out of the gutter.. So maybe I should thank her for the drive to change my life. Out of all bad comes GOOD.. Now I have to go. It made me love all my kids a lot more.. CAN'T WAIT TILL MONDAY..Mr.D.

Good Morning Gary and Mr.D,

I am just catching-up on all the activity on the thread from yesterday and your posts about your fathers touched me. You see, my own father is no longer with me and yesterday (the day of your posts) would have been his birthday. He would have been 61.

Though he has been gone for over 11 years, I find that I often reflect back on his life and learn. I learn from both the mistakes he made and from the values he held near, dear and lived to the best of his ability.

... and guess what? One of the virtues he embodied was patience! :-)

Happy Birthday Dad (one day late)!

Lazarus, wishing I hadn't missed all the excitement yesterday and glad to be able to call Mr.D my thread Dad.
