El Supremo my Man...

Can you answer this for Dukie?

Jan, or Tom, Preston, Bruce, Eric, Ben or anybody-
Does anyone know where I can get historical high/low data for the
NYSE & NASDAQ on line? I am trying to calculate my own daily HILO info so I can keep track of the BP status on a daily basis as explained on p.113 of Toms book. The last 10 days will do.

Thanks in advance. duke60

Hello Duke60,

If I may, what does the "60" mean?

You can get most stocks and major market indexes at MS Investor. But, the $NYA and $COMPQ need to be entered as NYA and COMP. All the other indexes use the $ before the symbol. Don't know why there is a difference but I found them through trial and error. So ------

Start at:

investor.msn.com.

-Then go to top of page and click Stocks.

-Then on left side click historical charts. (If you're not currently using MS Investor, you may have to do some free downloading.)

-Enter, for example, the symbol NYA (or any symbol) and click enter.

-Click on the Period and choose your time frame.

-Click on Export Data. Wahla -- our beloved Excel. Save as you like.

NOTE: Excel will give daily info on the week, month, and 3 month. After that it will default to weekly info. If you want daily info for the one to three year range, then go to "Period" and then "Custom" and choose daily.

BTW, have you created a (some) P&F related market oriented indicators that are of your own design? If so, please do tell. I'm messing with some and perhaps we can exchange notes.

Thanks and take care,

Eric
