Fed Governor: Fed will Raise Rates Before Lowering. (VERY insightful) "We have a concern about the CPI because, while that looks flat, there have been methodological improvements in the way that they calculate the index. On a consistent basis, without those changes, then it shows a distinct upcreep" biz.yahoo.com P.S. Interesting that the methodological "improvements" result in a lower CPI. Also interesting that Social Security and other benefits are tied to CPI. Not that these facts are related or anything.
