apologies to all including Spiny
I usually react that way when my argument is twisted, then refuted, in a weak attempt to mock... some call it a "straw dog" argument... the motives behind such weaving is the work of either faulty synapses or simply a jerk IMO... probably the latter, but then I got personal... rules against personal attack but not diminished capacity

yes, Ian, in a real bad mood lately... your retort yesterday was quite ill-tempered and uncalled for... it seemed to spring out without cause... you sound as irascible as I do... do you wear an ascot and look down upon the unwashed?

I realize this is a learning tool... frustrated by naive postings lately... interesting but frustrating mix of deep detailed info on Asia and naive dismissing attitudes by people who cannot distinguish pullback of an economy from destruction of an economy... more frightening descriptions of SKorea in BusWeek... everything I read on Indonesia points to not recession, not rioting, but utter destruction of their economy and perhaps split of the nation itself... doubt this is an overreaction... could this be a parallel to the US in 1929 for Asia? that was the US's first serious adjustment since Industrial Revolution... Asia proceeded after WW2 directly to modern age technology

beg for forgiveness, so ashamed, nay humbled, must go now to fall on sword / Jim Willie
