High Oddman. first, as far as I am informed IDT sold a license to produce their RISC designs to Nippon Steel - who a year later or so offered those products (4640,4650, 4700 etc.) at real low-ball prices to tier one IDT customers... QED, by the way, designed said products for IDT. Carl Berg?? Besides being the number one Real Estate Guru in Silicon Valley he was and still is the leading (money-making) pre-IPO investor in IDT. Heard that Subrato (3rd biggest in SiValley real estate at that time) took an early investor position in Synergy Semicon in his efforts of imitating CB's success??? Sorry, guys (the club of IDioTI believers, I am one of them), the WinChip is the frosting AND the cake and will make or break IDTI. The remaining stuff (Risc, FIFOs, SMP and Logic) just keeps it all alive until then. Taro
