Phillip, The comment you quote as "insulting" unmistakably had everything to do with Web Street and nothing to do with you. It would appear that only someone with connections to Web Street other than as a disinterested customer would be insulted by it. Linda

I notice you remark on part of their commission schedule repeatedly. We're all aware of it; that's part of why we tried them out. But many found that while they saved $10 on some commssions, they lost far more money on apparent "mistakes" by Web Broker, including but not limited to Web Street's providing incorrect balance information, Web Street's exacting usurious fees and tithes that were not mentioned, the mysterious disappearance of funds from their Web Street accounts, a costly use of their time during market hours trying to obtain balance informationn or make trades with Web Street, slow reporting on fills, promises of rectification of fees that were never made. All these problems were reported by others before I reported them. I'm starting to wonder if there are enough such reports to justify a class action suit! Yes there are other brokers that have some commission-free trades in their offering. I believe that Castle, is one of those. This is not a recommendation of Castle, but of course, you can feel free to take it as a recommendation (or an insult or as a choo choo train), as you choose. Linda
