Special Commission (UNSCOM) has suspended arms inspections of new sites in Iraq after Baghdad's decision to halt cooperation with U.N. arms inspectors, a U.N. official said on Sunday. But UNSCOM experts overseeing the disarmament of Iraq would continue to monitor sites already identified by inspectors, Janet Sullivan, special assistant to the director of the U.N. Baghdad Ongoing Monitoring and Verification Centre, told Reuters. ''Inspection in respect of the commission's disarmament responsibility are temporarily suspended,'' Sullivan said. ''In light of the present situation and pending further instructions, inspections are being conducted of the sites in Iraq which are subject to monitoring,'' she added. Iraq said last week it would no longer cooperate with the UNSCOM until it was ''reformed'' and moved from New York to Geneva or Vienna, to reduce alleged U.S. influence. Baghdad says it is free of weapons of mass destruction and demands an immediate lifting of economic sanctions imposed after its troops invaded Kuwait in 1990. My comments: Is this the way you respond when someone is trying to push you ? NO !! You make that surprise inspection and when IRAQ fails to live up to the agreement, you shove it up their ASS !! The end of the world is near folks, there is no more protection against the evil that is.
