as i posted in the past, this isnt strictly about money, there is a variable that contains saving face and perception of the people. these other governments know they need to divest themselves from the aura that surrounds them, they dont want to come to giants like mci and sprint, and so forth. they dont want to lose their revenues either. so the formula goes something like this: bring in dgiv with their state-of the-art technology via nmss, dgiv brings in value, multi-media presence, telco stability, better perception by the homefolk, dgiv gets a percentage of the pie, the government keeps their piece of the pie, the whole system is upgraded, now since it is now no longer govt owned, the newly formed company can expand into its neighboring countries as well-especially if they dont have the financing to get it done, never before would a govt allow another govt to own a piece of its telco, but now- you get the picture, this becomes free marketing for dgiv. macker
