continued... USA Technologies has still more very exciting news to report regarding developments on the patent front as well. USA has filed for three more patents, bringing the total number of pending applications to 12. As you know, two patents have already been issued. And we are proud to report two of ur most recent patent applications, involving electronic commerce and interactive advertising, stand poised to provide a revolutionary convenience for the purchase of everyday goods and services. While making life easier for consumers, the proprietary technology enables USA to become a player in the estimated $270 Billion (by year 2000) electronic commerce market and the $186 Billion advertising market. Over the next six months, we will implement our new e-commerce technology which will elevate TransAct to a higher level. Our next generation TransAct device will soon include a graphical display integrated with each credit card reader allowing advertisers and merchants to access and communicate with consumers in an unprecedented way. Should they be inclined, consumers can respond to the advertisement to inquire or make a purchase. We are very excited about our new technology as it will generate two additional revenue streams and raise the average transaction amount. First, advertisers will likely be willing to pay a premium for access to our highly educated affluent customer base. In addition, the company will retain a percentage of each transaction. Further, this technology will allow us to expand beyond our existing product line and tap several new markets by allowing other companies to integrate our technology into their existing product delivery system. We will soon have the capability to add both TransAct and our new technology to a variety of exciting new markets, including vending machines, laundromats, mass transit token machines, car washes, etc. more...............
