Both Clinton and Packwood were alledgedly involved in office sexual harrassment. Does it matter that one may be threatening with jobs and the other rewarding with jobs? Both, as well as any management that indulges in this, should be fired. Both situations work to the detriment of the office.

I couldn't agree more.Even if we believe Willey word for word she never implied that she felt physically threatened. In fact I believe in spite of the commentators attempts to get her to say otherwise she said she felt she could walk out the door at any time. This is not about Republicans and Democrats it's about physical intimidation vs a crude pass[If you believe KW word for word]. I might add that this is a pretty big point here.I also agree with you about his non threatening demeanor. This is one of the reasons I tend to believe him.

Packwood was also physically threatening, if I recall... there seemed to be some physical assaults involved. Clinton seems to have a non-threatening demeanor.

You're right for the most part. Packwood was more physical, it's true, and what he did I thought to be pretty disgusting. The one big differentiator, though, other than him being Republican, was he wasn't 'good looking' and 'young' like Clinton. Witness the woman reporter who flew on Air Force I w/Clinton who said she would gladly have given Clinton a BJ for protecting abortion rights. Heck, Packwood voted for every women's rights bill that came down the pike but I didn't see any women reporters offering to get on their knees for what he did to protect abortion rights. It's the same old double standard-it's only harassment and intimidation if you don't like either the person or their politics.
