I never said that on-line communities "would die". Competition will heat up. Amazongonenuts.com paid a fortune worth of stock for PlanetAll and Junglee. Now I realize that is not REAL money. only speculation players monopoly money, but it is still a lot more than companies such as Lycos recently paid for similar capabilities and clients - they paid $4 million cash for 1MM customers and user group messaging directory capability. Doesn't that say anything to speculators about how much value Bezos and company places in the stock? It will when the millions of new shares dilute the float. Amazon has had a small float and highly speculated price because of great awareness of the company and inet sector. As that awareness becomes taken for granted and float grows substantially (latest reported at 13.9 million, expanding to around 17 million by the end of the quarter). The stock price is simply a matter of supply and demand and the "greater fool theory'.

My guess is for a continued move up in AMZN and the inet stocks early part of this week followed by a decline latter in the week.

Why would I want to put on the Internet all the vitals of the people I know, when pure encryption is in it's infancy.
Are you suggesting that now, we violate our friends & relatives privacy?.
Maybe we should at least ask them first.
