Hi RavenCrazy, if we'd asked this question Tuesday we would have had to jump back out of the way of the responses! Just a quiet Sunday afternoon...

I remember reading that if you had accessed the site using the numeric URL, it may have replaced something in the preferences or addresses, and throwing them (or it) out would clean things up, but I don't remember clearly enought, and the post was referring to MS Internet Exploder, not Netscape.

Oh, well.
