Well Tim, every so called "chip win" is a crap shoot at this point IMO. One of my sources says dealing with their N. American sales force has become next to impossible. So, if you're being a "dick" to your vendors (who are pushing your chips and trying to get you in the door with end product mfg's)............then guess what??? ....you ain't going to sell "dick". My theory is some upper tier person is/has been applying the pressuring. Some of them(mid level people)don't agree,....so for instance you have quality people like Clint C. that have had enough and leave. The respected guy leaves and now they have a newbie in the position(s) and can really push them around...(hell they won't leave when you've just promoted them, well...not yet anyway) The newbie gets strict orders to be a "prick" and bows the the almighty..."yes, I will be a prick, cuz I'm working for 'dick'" Got it ...?? Good. Now repeat that 10X and you have the job. On a brighter note....for them(the CUBE reign holders) to even think about playing "hard ball" on the chip end...the Divi end must really be smoking or this would be a suicidal. Roulett anyone? BTW,,, I just "stole" a CPQ system with a DVD from one of them big name retail joints. Zoran SW decode I do declare. Haven't played with it yet...its for work, LOL!!!
