Thanks Joe,

While insider selling is a less reliable indicator, insider buying is predicated simply on the belief that the shares are a good value and will appreciate. $1.285 million is a pretty hefty commitment and underscores the view that DAVX is undervalued at current prices.

Joe, thanks for the insidertrader.com data not on the "free" menu.
I just use the free edition, which doesn't let one at the current week's filings. That was just filed Friday, 8/7, two days ago at the time of this writing, and didn't show up in the July monthly data I accessed.

I note that this was not an option exercise, but appears to be an open market purchase of almost $1.3 million worth of DAVX at a price over 25% above its close Friday. Maybe I'm missing something, but I find this very encouraging and an indication that DAVX is good value at current levels. It also suggests to me that this sell-off is not due to some "insider" information yet to come out.

Anyone have a different perspective, or information as to which director made this buy?
