Forbes online carries a story about MOT with forecasts for cellular segment. Mostly old news and a psychological downer. Article says recovery is at least a year away. Of course, the Siliscape technologies at TFS may change that.

So, what do you think about the guy from Ericcson jumping ship to join MOT?

This is what MOT says:
biz.yahoo.com

This is an excerpt from London's Financial Times:
<<But in Sweden there were suggestions that Mr Hedfors - who worked for Ericsson for 30 years and was its chief technical officer before moving to head its US subsidiary in 1994 - had quit following dissatisfaction over the performance of the group's mobile systems and infrastructure business in North America.

Ericsson's sales in the US and Canada fell from SKr5.04bn to SKr3.74bn ($469m) in the first half of this year.

The Swedish group refused to comment on Mr Hedfors' defection, saying only: "It is our policy to change the head of subsidiary operations every few years."

Nevertheless, it is thought that Sven-Christer Nilsson, chief executive, was unhappy at sales losses in the region and the group's failure to make inroads into data communications and internet-related businesses.>>

Is it a positive cultural change for MOT to go outside for a key person and, have we got a good guy developing the cellular phone business or a cast-off from ERICY?
