It was a tad under 300 ft., and I seem to remember it being an
even number - - I'll guess 296.

" Old" Yankee Stadium dimensions:

Right field foul pole--296
Right field - 344
Right Center-407
Center- 461 or 467 (different listings for different years)
Left Center-457
Left- 402
Left field foul pole- 301

The deepest part of the stadium was estimated to be between 470-475 where the tarp was stored in left center field.
