I received the same e-mail. However, I think it would have been more accurate for Web Street to state that the free commission is for NASDAQ stocks that are >= $ 2.00. But, as in many cases, the fine print comes later.

For your information, the NASD has some teeth about a number of complaints that have been made here. They have an online site which explains their functions and at this site complaints can be filed with them online.

Filing the online complaint form is easy, not time consuming, and might be a good first step in getting some complaints resolved:
