Phil, it is hard to imagine that anyone who believes in this company will dump their shares because the company finally took a stand against on-going distribution of reputation-damaging lies on a highly visible website.

I don't want to see John sued...just want him to stop the libel like most of the shareholders I have seen post on this subject, but what happens now is up to him.

As far as management getting more involved with this website, I say NO WAY. They have far better things to do (as you have noted, like finding gold) than to get involved in all the disputes going on here that will suck up huge amounts of valuable time. Showing up here will just give shorters and those with no shares an opportunity to take shots at the company based on rumors from questionable sources....just like we have seen the past few days.

Serious investors can easily read info from the website or call:

antaresmining.com or... 416-861-9940 (Peter Southward)

On another note, drilling has been on-going in BC throughout last week and some key people will be on-site at Toodoggone this week so the next set of results from Creek are not likely far away.

IMO, a shake-out has taken place for over 6 months now and a large amount shares now reside in the hands of a small group of powerful investors (like Sceptre Mutual Funds - over 6M shares).

There are not likely very many small investors left who haven't already bailed at this point so this fall should be very interesting.

"I was attracted to Antares because of their relative large cash position at the time. Now...."

Kaiser had a great list of ways in which cash-rich companies could steadily make themselves less and less cash-rich in his winter BF report last year. Property trading was one of them. Another was management expense, in all its various forms.

I've watched Antares in the past and thought about picking up a few, but never studied it in depth before at all. I'm very glad I waited, now.

The source of the threat may just be one loose cannon in the company in dire need of spiking, but after several days it would appear that it is company policy. Everybody's allowed a few mistakes, though, so if they were to realise and admit that they have screwed up bigtime by threatening an SI poster, then I expect that things would settle down eventually, like you say, and who knows - they might one day even find some sort of mineral and a market for it as well.

But none of this 'declare victory' - No way. Threats must be seen to fail,
and threatmakers seen to lose by the making of threats.

Otherwise these threads become useless, we will be left with only the WayneWs chanting happy thoughts to pump the paper to the suckers passing by.

..... imho ........... cheers .......... marcos
