Freeus,

I think DELL's report and CC are much more important to DELL's performance than the stuff on the 17th.

The Lewinsky matter has already been scripted and choreographed by the Holloway, the president, Starr and congress. Everyone involved knows what the testimony is going to be because of the prior depositions of Lewinsky. They are giving up because they do not have a case against Clinton for obstruction of justice. That was the most important charge. You can tell this is so by listening to people like Orin Hatch and the other republican talking heads as well as the news media. They can rag on him for lying about sex but any perjury charges are arguable and pertain to to a case that was thrown out of court for lack of substance. Whitewater is dead. Hence they are moving on to Reno.

<-------OT-------><Repost>Reuters:Aug.9 ".....Clinton is scheduled to offer his side of the story on Aug. 17 and rumors will undoubtedly swirl through the markets ahead of the event.

But analysts are less worried about the Clinton affair than the potential for more turmoil stemming from Asia.

''This makes for wonderful train conversation in the morning, but from an economic perspective it doesn't amount to a hill of beans,'' said Philip Orlando, chief investment officer at Value Line Asset Management.

''Everybody knows it's really (Treasury Secretary Robert) Rubin and (Federal Reserve Chairman Alan) Greenspan with their hands on the rudder of this economy,'' Orlando said."
