EuroWEBS down -1.5% today: Switzerland & Sweden the weakest overall; Spain & Italy now falling in sympathy with Germany & France; Belgium and Netherlands drifting down slightly.

Earnings coming out in Europe this month - keep us posted, professor.

Here in the empire, only things up (slightly) today on my watch list are drugz and retail - defensive stocks. Folks be waiting for the other shoe to drop? Airlines are up, but I tend to think that it's technical, from being over-sold, plus sympathy with yet more decline in crude oil prices. Financial stocks are particularly weak - Banks / Insurance / Brokers.

>I very much like the 2nd-tier/MDAX companies; however I have yet to see the catalyst that will bring them to the attention of the big money. Maybe I should play the sacrificial goat, renounce the "out-of-this-world-PE-devil" and sell my SAP leaps (g). Then maybe others would follow me into the PE-below-20 underworld...

Well that certainly is the bizz-buzz on the American teevee, DJ; but come on, man - do you think small caps are gonna go up without the bellwethers (?) or, do you think that they will go up more than the large-cap stocks ?
