I just heard something very interesting on CNBC about 45 minutes ago. Joe McAlinden, an analyst or something like that at Morgan Stanley, said that after a month or so of further correction that he expects small cap stocks to embark on a "moon shot". Those are his words. It's not like he's a guru, but it's the first time in a long time that I've heard any big-time portfolio manager or analyst use that kind of hyperbole in saying what he thinks small caps are going to do. I hope that he's expressing the nascent opinion of some other honchos. If not (and also if so) maybe some other portfolio managers will take notice of his beliefs with some repetition on his part. The man is a breath of fresh air.
