On CNBC Dick Hoey just said " Gold has been in a 18 year bear market".
I'm surprised gold bulls are still alive.

I guess that during the great crash, a long time ago, gold stocks did OK.

During any of the recent stock "crashes", admitedly none lasted all that long, gold stocks took a beating. For example in 1987, or even in the several corrections over the last year, gold stocks fell when the market fell. They fell even if though they did not enjoy the ride up. Not a good sign. I have a huge fraction of my stock in gold stocks. I believe it will recover, but I worry.

If there is no inflation, and there "never will be" then there would be no need for the inflation indexed bonds - right?
