good morning dennis.

just trying out my daytrading skills (or lack of) <ggg>

I'm slightly disadvantaged because my real time charting isn't using my super formulas in metastock (CSS).. rather, im using the standard indicators you find everywhere.. (not customized)

i'll give it a shot..

Agree it is holding on well so far but until they turn those sell programs off I would not expect a big move. Chris, my down channel on DELL shows if it can clear 108 1/2 to 109 it should be clear for a move up. What do you show?

FWIW....From Rightline ...

>>>Dell Computer (DELL) - If the market can cooperate, this week will be
the time for DELL to start its pre-earnings/possible split announcement
run. DELL fell 1.34 points last week to 107.25 during the markets
slide. As we all know, DELL will be releasing its Q3 earnings next
Tuesday, August 18th. That leaves us with only 7 trading days left.
However, between now and then Wall Street will still be battling it out
deciding who will win, the bulls or the bears. Also, with Clinton
testifying one day before DELL's earnings, we could see some added
market volatility before DELL will be releasing its earnings. In the
past, DELL has made clear that he does not like announcing a stock split
when the markets are shaky. If this is true, we may not see DELL
announce a stock split unless the market picks up in the next seven
trading days. For example, last November, everyone expected DELL to
announce a stock split, but he chose to wait until February when the
markets were more stable. Remember, we are interested more in the
journey rather than the destination. We should still see DELL run going
into earnings, even if DELL does not announce a stock split on the
18th. We will know more about DELL's proposed split as the week passes
on. This could be interesting. Optionable. <<<<
