Regarding your post about high end enterprise business, this is precisely the area in which I was concerned going forward after CPQs acquisition of DEC. You have explained it much better than I, and even though you've been extremely articulate, I think there is still confusion about this part of the business.

In my mind, either Dell has to commit to this extended business arrangement or evolve in some kind of parallel capacity. Since the higher margin business lies in the so-called 'greenfield' or 'turnkey' applications, it was worrisome to me that Dell could not compete with HWP, CPQ/DEC and IBM in those markets and therefore would essentially be limited to the lower end, hardware aspects of the ballooning IS/IT business going forward.

Your point also about the MSFT service contracts is valid, no service tech is going to tell a current customer, if asked, to buy Dell when their compensation depends upon them buying CPQ.
