Oh, so you saw it on TV (therefore it must be true) but you represented it as some kind of medical literature. So much for your credibility. No wonder you're breaking about the "you must be a girl" card.

Phil Jackson will go to Kerr in that situation EVEN IF he missed his last three shots. And there was a recent playoff game when Michael missed about everything he shot in the first half, and he wasn't benched. Phil Jackson also understands that if you have a shot that is 40 or 45 percent, like a three pointer in the best of hands, it's not that unusual for a player to miss three or four shots in a row. You can bench him if you detect a form flaw, but not if the odds gods are just having their way.

OK, Ditka, did you ever hear the expression "go to the well too often". This is the coaching mistake of relying on a streak to win. Good coaches avoid this. No, all coaches do not feed the hot hand.
