To all,

Randall McCallum (CEO or THW) asked me to post this on SI since the payment system is broken and he can't get his own account yet.

Monday, August 10th, 1998 POST from Totally Hip:
------------------------------------------------

Next post on Friday, August 14, 1998

I have received e-mails from a number of individuals that go by handles and by their real names and it is fully understandable why these people want to keep their identities a secret. My apologies to the person that uses the handle that starts with a small 'g'. Since nobody knows who you are, you shouldn't be stalked by my comment. Your handle was used merely as a reference to signify that people can use handles and was not meant to imply that you did anything wrong. I appreciate the fact that you support Totally Hip and value your comments.

A number of people contacted me by e-mail, which shows an element of
trust. Their e-mail indentities will never be disclosed by me or the
Company to anyone, under any circumstances. It just gives me a comfort factor that I am dealing with responsible people that want the proper information when I receive an e-mail from them.

There are definitely a lot of nutz out there and if stalking takes place, which I am sure it does, things are getting pretty sad and sick in this world. But remember, most people are honest, law abiding citizens that just want to make some investments and feel comfortable that they can rely on certain information about a company and those that disclose it. Totally Hip only wants to make sure that we are responding to those investors, potential investors or analysts that really want the company information, and not those that will use it for their own malicious gains, whatever they may be.

My point is that some people want their indentities kept a secret for
other reasons (other than their own personal security) so they can post as they feel without accepting responibility for what the write and post. If people become more responsible for what the consider posting and then do post, then things will go alot smoother on these type of sites.

Totally Hip is a software engineering firm. To prove a point just over a week ago, I had an investor on the phone line and this individual was complaining to me about someone on BOBz site posting something that bothered him about the company. I asked the name and or (handle) of the poster and within a short period of time I was able to identify who the individual was and were they came from, what service provider they used etc. Of course I did not give the information to the investor, because I didn't know what they might do with it, however, I did mention to them that software is not foolproof and nor is the Internet and the messaging
systems that are on it. If I need to track someone down because of
malicious statements, its very easy. I just ask my brilliant software
engineers or friends in the industry. We have not had to do this yet, and I hope we don't to protect this company. This type of paranoia is not necessary if we can establish an element of trust with online members on sites such as BOBZ and Silicon Investor.

If you want your name kept private, it is fully understandable. If anyone wants me to answer a specific question, I will require a direct e-mail from them and then I can respond directly to that individual, so I have a copy of the e-mail that I sent and the person it went to. If they want to post the reponse, it is their business. I will not disclose the contents of any private e-mails to me or the company with anyone.

Dispelling Rumours:
To the person that asked if I intend to dispell rumors and untruths put out by those long on THW? The answer is YES, if we are informed of them. I would appreciate receiving a copy of the information about Totally Hip by Data News or whatever they are. We constantly have people, brokers, investors dropping into our offices to ask questions and find out more information about the company. We have had a number of groups through our office in the past six months and if they received information about THW it is public knowledge. We do not have any relationship with any group, including this so called Data News Group. We have been approached by a number of stock based investment news letter groups, however, they wanted to be paid for their newsletter in stock and or cash and that is simply not unbaised news reporting to us, so it is totally unacceptable. I would appreciate hearing from anyone that has received coverage of the company
in the past 3 or 4 months that they consider hype or inaccurate.

Who gets access to Information from the Company:
So called, privlidged access to information from the company (its
available to all shareholders, not some priviledged group) is available to any group that takes the time to set up an appointment and drop by our offices to ask questions about the company. This can also be done througha conference call, but we require that the indivduals or groupos identitfy themselves to us and this is entered into a private company log.

If they write a report after, we unfortunately can not do much about it unless the information is inaccurate or completely promotional and we find out about it. Remember, extremely bullish reports put more pressure on a comany to perform beyond the company's capabilities and this hurts the company in the long run, and can potentially even kill it. We are here to build a real company and we are on track to do so. We can't possibly police all reports, but assistance from concerned shareholders helps.

We have worked hard to build a solid reputation in the software industry and we will not allow anyone to tarnish our public image with promotional hype reports. If there are accurate or inaccurate items in their reports I will inform you so, but I need to receive the material that you are talking about. I will also go after the offending groups. I will be implementing a policy to have individuals sign an agreement with the company, so if they write a report or newsletter, they can be held accountable for any inaccuracies or untruths that they put in the report or newsletter. This will make them contact and show us the reports before they go out the door and we can stop them before any investor sees them. It will also discourage those that have only the intent of misinformation. They won't sign the agreement, and therefore, they won't get the information.

I hope this answers your questions.
