John..... Well, thanks for the invite.....but there seems to be some serious conversation going on here...some I agree with and some I don't..but a lot of food for thought is being digested. I guess the bottom line for me as far as CNBC goes is this....I look for this channel to do two things for me...inform and entertain......I have gleaned much in the way of financial help...I have listened and learned...there are pundits who make a lot of sense, and some who do not...I think we all can pick and choose whom we will listen to....whether you are a bull or a bear...whether you invest based on technical or fundamental aspects...or whether you just play the market on pure instinct...we all have one similar feature...we can turn the dial....if you don't like a particular host, or you do not like a particular guest....turn the dial....I personally like to listen to both sides of an issue...I like to see what the negatives are as well as the positives...I can change my mind if I am shown to be wrong....and how do you know if you are wrong unless you listen.....and listen with an open mind... I love discussions of opposing viewpoints... So, I have found CNBC to be an excellent source of financial information both positive and negative....and every host and guest brings something to the table for discussion...just because you disagree with an idea does not make it valueless..... Ok, now for the entertaining part...one of the reasons I love this channel as opposed to CNNfn is because they can bring some warmth and humor into the mix....I started the hunks of CNBC thread as a stress reliever, a thread whereby people could come and just have some fun...no pressure...just relaxation...sort of like an English pub...everyone can come in and have a pint and relax....no pot shots to be taken ...... But this thread is different altogether....the discussions here are serious...I guess the only criticism I have here is that none of us know these anchors or guests....we only know what we see, we don't know these people on a personal level....and they are restricted by their producers as to what they can and cannot say....sometimes their hands are tied....you can please some of the people some of the time, but not all the people all the time....so, maybe we need to give them a break on a personal level...and just keep the criticism based on the financial aspects of their programs....you can totally disagree with the message, but don't kill the messenger.... So, on a lighter note.....I will tell everyone I am still waiting for my Squawk Box tee shirt.....(foot tapping)......and I will not give up my quest....I will leave no stone unturned....but if I don't get one...well...remember the old adage...."Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned" hahahahahahahahahah Hope everyone here has a great trading week....and remember, keep smiling...it doesn't cost anything....
