Two things:

1. Has anyone noticed that the Apple Store isn't taking orders until October on the iMac? What's up with that? Has aapl done something to upset resellers that it wants to make up for? and if so, isn't the new BTO Store for resellers enough concession for any harm? Thoughts? Am I missing something?

2. What is the significance of the 150,000 orders for iMacs from Apple?
(http://www.apple.com/pr/library/1998/aug/10orders.html) Of course, I think it's fabulous news, but I wouldn't have been surprised for the number to be larger. Eric (and anyone else), I'm interested in your take on this. Expected more orders? Less? Ramifications of this news?

thanks
