Qwiksand.: it is interesting to watch as MSFT starts biting the dust how they think media manipulation will stem the tide their way. It won't. Look at where we were several years ago; look at where we are today. MSFT is living off legacy. They are declining, their growth is diminishing, MSFT keeps throwing out FUD, based on Gates confidants telling him to invest in the media to leverage MSFT's position. All the while he is pursuing this, his true position is dwindling, dwindling, dwindling (regardless of stock price which has a correlation coefficient of zero related to knowledge equity). MSFT has hit the wall big time, and it is interesting to see how they think that pure spin will get them through the morasse. It will for a while, but the writing is on the wall; MSFT's true power is dwindling. Perceptions lag reality, but no matter what they do the momentum will continue. Spin buys time but it doesn't buy horsepower. Why does MSFT even worry about making statements about Java, because technically they are toast. Low-end MSFT has butted against high-end SUNW, and SUNW is smoking them bigtime.
