Good advice Jalarmi. Don't forget the cake-taker of all time, Entremed:

Remember the 'cure' for cancer they had. If someone put in a market order in and went to sleep with the stock at $14 they'd have awakened at 9:31 AM the next morning with their shares being purchased at $85!

The stock ended that day in the 40's or 50's and today trades around $25. Can you say tax loss?
