JP,

>> Maybe I am getting the wrong idea here,
But are you questioning DELL capacity to expand into higher level markets that are dominated by IBM CPQ and HWP ? <<

WRONG IDEA! I was questioning what the effect of a very large order would be on the BTO-JIT model. If the capacity were shifted to filling that huge order, what effect would it have on the 'regular' orders. Would the system become 'overloaded' in respect to the overall deliveries of systems trying to satisfy the huge customer?

Just questioning, but it was answered by the fact that the receiving company would probably not want all of the systems at once. If they did, DELL could subcontract some of the work if necessary.

Regards,

Ken
