RE: I would be a little concerned if Dell tried an upscale move before they were ready

The problem is that if they don't move soon,
With CPQ HWP and IBM all trying to hit DELL,
If the onslought is sucessful to any degree, Then DELL may have a much tougher time making those larger and longer and more lucrative deals.

I guess the true question is:
DELL has a lot going for them right now in the PC arena.
Can they take that momentum enterprise wide ?

And if their stock takes a big hit, will that impact their momentum.

Is CPQ's task to make DELL miss a quarter and guide estemates a little, This would destroy the stock and perhaps put DELL back into a PC box position?
Or does CPQ have a much bigger task infront of them.

Jim
PS.
Kinda funny, I am a bear because I think their stock is overvlaued and their fundamental are unsustainable, and when the world sees that, the stock will be hit. But it may take the stock getting hit to disrupt their fundamentals.
Interesting spot to be in.
