Mohan:
<<Miracle!: Pakistan elite zooms around in foreign cars as economy crumbles...>>

BMWs, Rumble strips, Crumbling Economy
as Pakistan's economy crumbles.... more precisely hits the RUMBLE STRIP

The cars comes to a stop when it hits the Rumble Strip. But in Pakistan, there are no rumble strips and more foreign cars ensure a crumbling economy after it hits the rumble strip - figuratively. Think of it this way. For every foreign car there are zillion Pakistanis, put to work. One to drive the car, one to wash the car, one to polish the car, one to stand guard besides the car, one to hold umbrella for the Pasha when the Pasha gets in and out of the car, one to guard the Pasha, One to go around the car looking for dents and scratches from flying dirt and stones on the bad roads. It is a good idea to import more cars and let the ECONOMY TO HIT THE RUMBLE STRIP.
Then they have to sell Nuclear Technology to the brother nations to pay for more BMWs. Then the Israelis will be on their tails.

This is not going to happen, just a wild imagination on my part.

Here's some cold water on the face...

Pakistan and India both figure next to another in the "least developed countries" list according to rankings on the Human Development Index maintained by the UN.

The "Real GDP per capita" numbers for Pakistan are about 50% higher than that of India.

If merely staying ahead of its smaller neighbor (Mexico) was the ultimate goal, the US wouldn't be where it is today.

It is real stupid for a "superpower aspirant" like India to repeatedly compare itself with an impoverished neighbor like Pakistan and gloat about it.
