I am a stock broker.
My boss said that I had to put that in there or I could not make comments on the Web.
It is sometimes refered to as a disclaimer.

If I repeat something incorrectly in any way shape or form, then it could be false.

I will say, Some times my comments may not be in sinc with the direction of the position I currently hold. And that could be misleading.
