JMD -

As long as he is not as insulting as the unpleasant character we had in WCII I think we should welcome a negative type here if if the only one we can find is Mr C. Helps balance a little and alos it'll be fun when the forthcoming Q's for the Q come rolling in to see what Mr C. has to say.

The only real problem we have is that of the market generally. I mean if the market and the European markets go on day after day dropping by a point here and a point and a half there then investors will just get fed up. They may not sell their holdings but they may refrain from buying any more stock. Sooner or later they will just accept that their retirment plans were way too optimmistic and they will just have to settle for a lower standard of living in retirement or a much longer working life.

Real wages are slowly improving and those saving for retirement might not look so badly on having to work for another five years or so when the potential wage increases are taken into account.

What is clear though is that the market daily drop is continuing with no end in sight. The old joke about ..'want to make a small fortune well then put a large fortune into the market and after a few weeks you'll have a small fortune....' seems to be coming true in front of our eyes.

Regards,

L
