Any opinions on the fate of AMAT in light of the earnings announcement and the possible impact on other semi equips? The news coverage seemed to give it a pretty negative play:

*AV*--If NVLS should ever reach $20, we are all fools for not "betting the farm" and waiting for it to rise from the ashes. the industry will continually use their products. Every demise in price on this stock (2 AMAT bullets in the form of a lawsuit filed and a judgement won) was met with a dramatic rebound.

I have gone on record that NVLS under $40 is a steal. Each time it went sub $40, I was a buyer and waited for it to recover into the lows to mid 40s. This was a successful short that was recently covered and a good prospect for a purchase. With the AMAT conference call and QTRLY earnings behind us today (after the market), I waiting to see the market response before proceeding.

But you are right!! This is a stock that performed well for us in the past and will continue to do so. I triple dare it to drop to $20 so I can buy twice as much.<GGG>
