FYI, the correct quote is,

"Those who desire to give up freedom in order to gain security, will not have, nor do they deserve, either one."

Scumbria,

Seeking "order and truth" at the expense of freedom is misguided. Above all else, freedom is the virtue which makes this country great.

I am not sure I ever proposed such a trade (freedom for truth or order), so I don't follow your argument here.

Unless your definition of freedom includes lying under oath, freedom to obstruct justice, freedom to hire lawyers to help you in obstruction of justice, freedom of president to have his political operatives go through FBI files of people on their "enemies list" and selectively leek portions of them to the press, freedom to grab your employees breasts.

Those are the only limitations of "freedom" that I recall proposing.

Joe

PS: So much for the theory about being off topic helping the stock. We are down 5/16.

Looks like the 3 day rally in Cyrix/NSM stock is broken. Could the stock be heading for the single digits again? Enquiring minds want to know.

Does anyone know whether there is "good-will" from the Cyrix acquisition on NSM's balance sheet? If so how much per share?

David

It wasn't TJ but Benjamin Franklin who wrote:

"They that can give up essential liberty for a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety."
