Amindo,
The model for the search engine technology seems to be more per-use. In a CNBC interview a month or so ago, the INKT CEO stated that every time someone executes a Yahoo! search, the "cash register rings for Inktomi".

I didn't find anything specific in the prospectus on this issue. The technology is licensed to customers and generates a continuing revenue stream for Inktomi as they continue to use it (it is not a one-time sale like their Traffic Server is). It is possible that such licensing agreements would be tied to advertising revenue but the impression that I've gotten from what I've read is that it is more closely tied to usage than to ad revenue.

Does anyone have information to the contrary?
- Randy
