Leukemia and aplastic anemia patients can be saved!

Maurice,

You mentioned a short time ago the tragic illness of your
friend's daughter. There is always hope to find donors.

Please check the web site of the National Marrow Donor
Program. They maintain a registry of over 3,000,000 persons
who have volunteered to be bone marrow donors. In ten
years this organization has facilitated over 7,000 bone
marrow transplants. The volunteer has only to submit
a blood sample for bone marrow tissue typing.

The link is marrow.org

The more people that volunteer to become potential donors, the
more patients can be saved. I have registered, it is very easy
and painless. Once registered, there is about a one in two thousand
chance of being called to actually donate bone marrow tissue.
This is a relatively minor operation for the donor, who suffers
no long term loss. This is truly a worthy activity and a testimony
to the greatness of the human spirit and its Creator.
